Choosing Your Social Media Channel

There are many different social media channels out there in the world wide web. At Dugan's Travels, we recommend an agent choose 1 or 2 that they get to know really well, versus trying to juggle all channels at once.

But how do you know which social media channel to choose?

The best place to start in choosing a channel is to ask, Where does my audience hang out?

Each channel has its own unique set of demographics. As you think about the customers you wish to target, see which of these channels that group is most active on. Then pick 1 or 2 and get to know them very well.

Every social media app has a support page or Knowledge Base. These can be great resource for helping you to understand how their platforms work, or troubleshooting issues. They may also give you info on best practices and popular trends.

YouTube is also a fantastic place to research tutorials about various platforms.
